An input describes the data needed to perform the associated process. The process takes this data, manipulates it, and creates some type of data output. Inputs and outputs are named with singular nouns. Processes are named with singular verbs. For example: Input: Transcript Request, Process: Display Transcript, Output: Student Transcript. Use no more than 3 or 4 words for your input, process, and output names. Use Initial Caps for your input, process, and output names.
