Write My Essay For MeThe world today faces many challenges including gender inequality, poverty, social injustices, terrorism, and human rights abuse among others. As such, various sustainable goals have been set in order to make positive advancements by 2030. Ending poverty and hunger, empowerment, reducing inequality, infrastructural development, and dealing with climate change are some of the global goals that need to be achieved by 2030. These goals can be achieved when various measures are put in place, since the world has a lot of resources that can be used in addressing these issues. Emerging economies, especially Africa, are considered to pose the greatest challenge when it comes to issues such as poverty, infrastructure, healthcare, and women empowerment among others.
Tracking progress, review, and demanding action are some of the approaches that can be used in ensuring that the sustainable goals are fulfilled. Firstly, tracking progress is a follow-up procedure that uses indicators to measure and analyze development progress. These indicators are measured based on each country’s GDP and social growth. According to Green (2015), the Social Progress Index tool is vital for achieving global goals and analysis of social development in each country around the world. This tool focuses on important issues such equal access to education, basic needs, discrimination, and rights. Using such a tool would help in the tracking process and identification of areas that need more attention. For example, powerful nations such as China and Russia have dismal performance when it comes to social growth, despite being economically strong. On the other hand, Costa Rica is considered an over-performer in terms of social growth, despite having a fair GDP (Green, 2015). This is because the country’s priority has been placed on environmental sustainability, healthcare, and education. As such, global goals can be a realized if each country prioritizes and allocates resources for such issues.
Secondly, review of policies at regional, national, and global levels would be equally important in achieving 2030 global goals (Sustainable Development, 2015). Reviews are aimed at addressing specific issues at the different levels. For example, putting resources to address issues such as hunger, healthcare, poverty, education, and infrastructure in Africa would provide significant growth. Similarly, developed countries such as China should direct their resources to addressing environmental and human rights issues for global goals to be reality by 2030. Thirdly, demanding action would be able to put leaders on their toes and ensure that the goals become a reality. This can be done through activism by the citizens of each country. For example, human rights activism helps in addressing issues such as gender inequality, violence, and marginalization among others. Furthermore, environmental advocacy programs would enable environmental sustainability goal to be achieved. Additionally, the use of tools such as people’s score cards would be fundamental in assessing economic or social growth. Green (2015) suggests the use of report cards on an annual basis. This tool can provide a basis for holding leaders accountable and rating the performance of each country. With such results, goals can be adjusted based on the specific challenges outlined.
Global goals are achievable by 2030 if actions such as tracking, demanding action, and review are implemented. As it was discussed in this paper, economic status alone does not determine social growth. There should be prioritization of issues such as human rights, environmental stability, healthcare, and education. Furthermore, global partnership would ensure that this dream becomes a reality.
